  1. I have to correct u here, the last thing u want is a mobile optimized site! what u want is a mobile site, as your PC site and mobile site serve as different functions.

    • Tony – Yes, exactly correct. When I say Mobile Optimized, I mean a seperate web presence specifically for mobile devices.
I would not suggest that a company only a have single, dual use site. Trying to do both in one website only produces a site that doesn’t function well for either.
The term mobile optimized is just an easy way to talk mobile with people who are just dipping their toes in mobile solutions.

  2. Absolutely! Mobile sites are truly a must have for every business across all industries, large and small.

3 quick tips when designing mobile sites:
    1. simplify your message so it is easy for users to navigate on phones or tablets without having them scroll back and forth through unnecessary content 2. consider using digital media and/or QR Codes to communicate with your users in a unique way outside of your website 3. make sure your content (including video) renders in all mobile devices (iPhone, Droid, Blackberry, Tablets)
