Multiplatform Social Activity

social-mediaWhat social activities people engage in were once primarily dictated by the platform they were using.  But today, mobile devices are more powerful than they once were and are much more convenient than laptops or PC’s.  The flexibility offered by mobile devices is driving more social networkers to use their mobile devices for functions they used to rely on a PC for.

What Does This Mean To You?

Mobile Social (SoMo) users are much more engaged than desktop social media users.  This can have huge implications for your business.
On the positive end, they are more likely to follow business, like products
and share information.  This can make them the perfect brand evangelist
for your business.
On the negative side, if their experience with your business is not a good one – they will likely let lots of people know about it. This brings us back to a recent post on the importance of customer service.  It also shows the need for a strong social reputation strategy.
Does your business have a strategy to respond to negative comments?
When was the last time you did a thorough review of your social media presences to see what consumers are saying about you?
How often do you look for information about your company on review sites?
The first steps to a social reputation that brings in customers is knowing what consumers have said about you. Then you need to evaluate how to mitigate the damage. For more information on protecting your social reputation and using it to generate a loyal customer base, please contact:
